Help! I found a baby...

Groundhog

Please read the information below and if you feel the animal needs help text 513-409-1331

Groundhogs are also known as woodchucks, whistle pigs, grass rats, earth pigs, and marmots.

It is unlikely that a young groundhog should be wandering around without an adult present. Adults rarely leave their offspring vulnerable to predators. It is likely that the young are orphans. Keep people and pets away from the animal and monitor it from afar for a four-hour period. If no adults are seen after that period, please contact us at 513-409-1331.

If you have found an injured or ill adult groundhog, please contact us immediately.
